Yes. Most school systems have awarded credit "at face value" for work completed in the alternative education program. However, because we are a private school, too small for accreditation, some public schools may require testing for reentry into the public school system. Most students do exceptionally well on these tests. The Program Director works closely with the student's home school to insure that the student receives course credit for the work completed in the classroom. Records from Hope Harbor's school enter the student's permanent educational record. A child who leaves the program prematurely may jeopardize his/her school credits for the year.
