Change Can Campaign
Every congregation and family looks for ways to encourage stewardship and giving from the heart. We have just the right opportunity!
Beginning in April and ending in September, our Change Can Campaign is a great way to involve all age groups in raising funds for Hope Harbor while teaching good stewardship and giving. The following are a few ideas to consider:
- Place a can or jug in each of the classrooms and make it part of the routine to have the students bring change to drop in the can or jug.
- Hand out the cans to all individuals willing to take them home and commit to inserting their daily change.
We also encourage having fun with the campaign as well:
- Every year, during the months of February and March, area youth groups compete to fill up the jug.
- The youth group who raises the most gets to “tar and feather” their youth director with chocolate syrup and granola crackers.
