The Director of Operations/Programs works closely with the Executive Director to manage and oversee Hope Harbor’s programs and to ensure the maximum benefit of the classroom environment. The Director of Operations has specific responsibilities in development and maintenance of standards and measurable outcomes, and communicates expectations proactively with all staff to ensure the highest standards of care. The Director of Operations further duties involve direct instruction or resident supervision as needed as well as oversight and facilitation of the accreditation process for Hope Harbor Academy. The Director of Operations takes an active role in development and maintenance of staff morale.
Qualifications:
Education: Masters Degree in education, social work, psychology, or a related area. Minimum of 5 years experience in supervision and management. Minimum of 3 years experience working with at risk children and youth. Experience with alternative education strategies. Experience with social services. Active, faithful member of church of Christ. Skills: Must be well organized, possess strong interpersonal skills, including effective verbal and written communication, must be able to work positively and effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and must possess strong skills in positive and effective management of people toward producing measurable outcomes. Duties & Responsibilities: Participate in development of appropriate standards for all education and classroom programs at Hope Harbor and in monitoring compliance with these standards as spelled out in policies and procedures. Assume a leadership role in maintaining accreditation of Academy. Assume a leadership role in maintaining licensing through DHS. Proactively participate in development of positive staff morale and work environment. Maintain standards of excellence in Hope Harbor’s Academy program through hiring and supervising qualified teachers, providing opportunities for professional training and development, ensuring that the education program is tailored and relevant to the needs of each student, ensuring that the education program meets state standards including, but not limited to academia, testing, days in session, including serving as teacher in the classroom as needed. Maintain standards of excellence in Hope Harbor’s residential program and all other program efforts through hiring and supervising qualified house parents and other positions with direct contact or care responsibilities for the residents. Promote the development of all program staff by providing frequent feedback and guidance and participation in coordination of relevant, meaningful training. Where needed and appropriate, provide input or direct assistance with assessment, treatment planning, implementation and evaluation of all program efforts, case management, and counseling. Participate as needed in all activities related to the recruitment and enrollment of students who are appropriate for placement. Develop, implement, and integrate trauma informed practices into all relevant aspects of Hope Harbor’s educational programs. Address individual, developmental, cognitive, behavioral, and sensory issues that impact learning and behavior in the contexts of home, school, work, and community. Provide oversight of all school records. Responsible for all Title I administration and communications. Responsible for all school-related data collection and reports. Participate in case review discussions with appropriate parties Contribute relevant information as requested to be contributed to treatment planning and goal development. In view of individual developmental, behavioral, and sensory considerations, will make recommendations for environmental adaptations and modifications at school and in the cottage. Will monitor campus environment and practices to ensure that the program meets all licensing and accreditation expectations related specifically to safety. Maintain school calendar for academic and summer sessions. Oversee compilation and dissemination of all school-related records during and after placement. Maintain any professional affiliations, accreditation, professional certifications, and licensure relevant to this position. Perform other responsibilities as assigned by Executive Director.

The Mental Health Specialist provides counseling and consultation services across our residential family reconciliation program, and is a member of the interdisciplinary team.
Services provided include:
The successful candidate must demonstrate skill with and commitment to evidence-based practices and be willing to work in a comprehensive, faith-based environment.
Required: Master’s degree and licensed or license-eligible as an LPC, LCSW, or LMFT in the state of Oklahoma. Must be able to pass a background check.
Preferred: At least 2 years experience post-licensure. TBRI Practitioner. Experience with Residential Care or other 24/7 treatment, family reconciliation, and working with individuals and families who have experienced traumatic events.
